Consignment Period
Our standard consignment period is 6 weeks.
The consignment period begins from the date confirmed by In Style Ascot when your item is accepted for consignment.
Items are expected to remain with In Style Ascot for the full 6-week period unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A different consignment period may occasionally be agreed for seasonal, specialist or high-value items.
If you request the return of an item before the end of its agreed consignment period, our early withdrawal terms and applicable fee will apply.
Pricing
We will recommend an appropriate initial selling price based on our experience of the pre-owned and luxury resale market.
Factors we may consider include:
-
Brand and style
-
Age and condition
-
Current customer demand
-
Comparable resale prices
-

-
The most appropriate selling channel
The initial selling price will be confirmed before your item is listed.
By proceeding with the consignment, you authorise In Style Ascot to market the item at the agreed initial selling price and apply the scheduled reduction set out below.
Scheduled Price Reduction
Our standard consignment period is designed to give items the best opportunity to sell while they remain relevant to current customer demand.
If an item remains unsold after 5 weeks, its selling price will automatically be reduced by 20% from the initial listed selling price for the remainder of the consignment period.
For example, an item initially listed at £500 would be reduced to £400 after 5 weeks if it remained unsold.
By accepting these Terms, you authorise In Style Ascot to make this scheduled 20% reduction without contacting you for additional approval.
If a different pricing or reduction arrangement has been specifically agreed with you in writing before listing, that individual agreement will take precedence.
Any reduction outside the standard 20% reduction or another pricing arrangement already agreed with you will require your approval.
Unsold goods
If your item remains unsold at the end of the 6-week consignment period, you are responsible for arranging collection or contacting us to agree an alternative arrangement.
Unless otherwise agreed, unsold items must be collected within 7 working days of notification that they are ready for collection.
If you do not collect your item or contact us within this period, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you using the details held on your seller account. If you continue to fail to collect the item or contact us after reasonable notice, the item may be donated to charity, where permitted by applicable law.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your contact details are kept up to date.
