WHAT IS IN STYLE ASCOT?
In Style Ascot is a second-hand consignment store based in Ascot. We provide a platform for individuals to sell their gently used items, and for buyers to discover unique and pre-loved items.
WHAT TYPES OF ITEMS DO YOU ACCEPT FOR CONSIGNMENT?
We accept a wide range of items, including clothing, accessories and shoes. Please check our accepted Items page for a comprehensive list and any specific requirements.
HOW DO YOU DETERMINE THE SELLING PRICE OF CONSIGNED ITEMS?
Our experienced team assesses each item based on:
- Brand
- Condition
- Current market demand
- Comparable resale values
Where appropriate, we welcome seller input; however, final pricing decisions are made by In Style Ascot to ensure consistency and maximise the likelihood of sale.
HOW DO I CONSIGN ITEMS WITH YOU?
Consigning with us is simple:
- Contact us via email with details and photos of your items
- Our team will review and confirm suitability
- A selling price and consignment period will be agreed
- Once your item sells, you receive your agreed share of the sale price

WHAT IS THE CONSIGNMENT PERIOD?
The standard consignment period is 3–6 weeks, depending on the item and demand.
The exact consignment period will be confirmed during the intake process.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEMS DON’T SELL?
If your items don't sell during the consignment period, you can choose to pick them up or donate them to a local charity. Any items that remain uncollected after the consignment period may be subject to additional fees.
CAN I RETURN ITEMS I PURCHASED IF I’M NOT SATISFIED WITH THEM?
No. All items sold by In Style Ascot are pre-owned and sold as seen, and we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds.
Customers are encouraged to review all item descriptions and photographs carefully and contact us with any questions prior to purchase.

HOW TO BRING IN YOUR ITEMS
Please avoid bringing hangers, shoeboxes or dress bags unless the packaging is branded and relevant to a Designer item. Unfortunately, we do not have the space to store these items and they will be disposed of.
CAN YOU REDUCE THE PRICE OF MY ITEM?
Yes. To improve sell-through, In Style Ascot reserves the right to apply reasonable price adjustments during the consignment period in line with market conditions.
CAN YOU REFUSE ITEMS?
Yes. In Style Ascot reserves the right to decline or remove any item that does not meet our brand, condition, or authenticity standards, even if previously accepted in error.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEM IS LOST OR DAMAGED?
All reasonable care is taken while items are in our possession; however, In Style Ascot cannot accept liability beyond the fair market resale value of an item. No compensation is offered for unsold items beyond this limit.
CAN MY ITEM BE USED FOR MARKETING?
Yes. By consigning with In Style Ascot, you grant permission for your items to be photographed, worn, or featured in marketing, social media, website content, and promotional materials.
HOW DOES COMMISSION WORK?
Commission rates vary depending on item value, brand, and seller agreement. All commission terms are confirmed prior to listing.
COLLECTING YOUR ITEMS
If you wish to collect your items before the end of the agreed consignment period, a £15 processing fee will apply.
After the consignment period has ended, items may be collected free of charge.
To allow time for stock checks and sign-off, please contact us at least 3 working days in advance of your intended collection date. Items may not be immediately available without prior notice.
PAYOUTS
All items sold within a calendar month will be paid on the 15th of the following month.
If the 15th falls on a weekend or UK bank holiday, payment will be made on the nearest working day.
Payments are processed via bank transfer only once funds have fully cleared.
DO DIFFERENT RULES APPLY TO LIVE SALES?
Yes. All items purchased via live selling platforms are final at the point of confirmed sale. No cancellations, amendments, or returns are accepted once an item is sold live.
